IPL treatments are exceptionally good options for those men who spent a lot of time in the sun. IPL can erase the signs of age and wear, plus reduce the appearance of brown spots and broken capillaries. It is a popular choice with our male clientele for being a simple and versatile option for their aesthetic concerns.
What is IPL?
We have a special device for IPL called elos Plus SRA. SRA performs IPL or Intense Pulsed Light with radio-frequency. It is a non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedure that uses intense pulse light (IPL) treatment and radio-frequency to address common cosmetic complaints including:
- Dry skin
- Brown spots
- Broken capillaries
An IPL device delivers short pulses of intense light to the treatment area. These pulses cause minor damage to the cells underneath your skin, causing your body stimulate collagen production in an attempt to “heal” the damage. This helps return your skins youthful volume without the introduction of any outside materials.
The SRA device is unique in that it also uses radio-frequency to target the energy to the damaged cells. This makes the treatment much safer, and much more gently on the skin than traditional IPL treatments. SRA IPL treatments are useful because the SRA device can be operated on a number of wavelengths, depending on the problem you wish to address and the nature of the treatment area.
SRA IPL treatments require little downtime. You can usually return to work immediately after undergoing this facial rejuvenation treatment. The main constraints with IPL are that you cannot be excessively tan when you get them, and you need to stay out of the sun for two weeks afterwards. People with high melanin in their skin should also avoid IPL.
