IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Treatment

spot removal on face and neckElos Plus is our device that performs IPL or Intense Pulsed Light with radiofrequency. It is a non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedure. It uses intense pulse light (IPL) treatment and radio-frequency to address common cosmetic complaints including:

  • Dry skin
  • Brown spots
  • Redness

An IPL device delivers short pulses of intense light to the treatment area. These pulses target brown and red discoloration to even over-all skin tone.

Our device is unique in that it adds an element of radiofrequency, which deeply stimulates collagen production. This makes the treatment much safer, and much more gentle on the skin than traditional IPL treatments. IPL treatments are useful because the device can be operated on a number of wavelengths, depending on the problem you wish to address and the nature of the treatment area.

IPL treatments require little downtime. You can usually return to work immediately after undergoing this facial rejuvenation treatment.

Depending on your situation, IPL may or may not be right for you. During a complimentary consultation, your provider will discuss your goals and create a custom treatment plan for your specific needs.

What to Expect

On the day of your treatment, we will begin by taking photos to document your progress. A cooling ultrasound gel will be applied to the skin and the device will deliver pulses of energy. The pulses feel like the snap from a rubber band. Immediately following, your skin may feel warm and flushed and any brown spots will appear darker. You should limit your sun exposure for 2 weeks and wear a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher at all times. The dark spots that appear immediately following your treatment will continue to become darker and slough off after about 7 days.
