VBeam Laser Treatment

vbeam redness removal BoulderRedness can be caused by a myriad of things, and may be temporary or long-lasting. At Rinnova Skin & Body, we made sure to acquire the best device for removing redness. Dr. Becker and our aestheticians are skilled at using the laser to remove redness for almost any cause, including bruising.

What is VBeam?

The VBeam laser is specifically designed to treat redness. It is a pulsed-dye laser, which means that it effectively targets redness in the skin, and uses the laser energy to remove it. It is the fastest, most precise way to treat redness including:

  • Cherry angiomas
  • Telangiectasias
  • Rosacea
  • Port Wine Birthmarks
  • Redness from other causes
  • Broken capillaries

VBeam can potentially treat redness that is resistant to other treatments, including IPL. During a complimentary consultation, we will discuss your specific needs and create a custom treatment plan to address your concerns.

What to Expect

During a consultation, your practitioner will discuss your goals and create a custom treatment plan for your needs. Depending on the cause of the redness, several treatments might be necessary. On the day of your treatment, we will begin by taking photos to document your progress. Then one of the aestheticians will give you eye protection and then begin to ‘zap’ the treatment area with the laser. The laser will deliver pulses of energy that feel like a snap from a hot rubber band. Treatments are quick, generally less than 30 minutes. Afterwards you may experience some swelling and redness that should go down within a few hours, though in extreme cases it could last for a few days. There is minimal pain and downtime is dependent on your comfort in public. You should limit your sun exposure for 2 weeks and wear a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher at all times. The full effects of the treatment can be seen in about 7 days.
