Offering Safe, Natural Cosmetic Dermatology Services for Boulder, Denver, and Surrounding Colorado Communities
At Rinnova Skin and Body, we offer Voluma, which is a dermal filler that is FDA-approved for the treatment of the mid-face region. Dermal fillers are used to return volume to areas of the face that have begun to sag, causing wrinkles. The same company that manufactures Juvederm also produces Voluma.
What is Voluma?
We choose to carry Voluma here at Rinnova because its the best dermal filler in the market. Voluma is approved by the FDA for use in the upper cheeks and mid-face region. The Voluma compound is uniquely constituted from naturally occurring hyaluronic acids. Voluma is manufactured in a way that encourages "cross-linking" among the molecules of the hyaluronic acids, so that it lasts for a long period of time. The results of a Voluma treatment last much longer than the results of other dermal fillers. In fact, some chronicled results have lasted for two years.
What to Expect
Dr. Becker performs all of our injectable procedures, including Botox, Sclerotherapy, and dermal fillers. There is a certain artist required to administer fillers correctly, and with years of practice Dr. Becker has mastered the art of creating a naturally younger appearance with fillers.
During a consultation, Dr. Becker will ask you what your goals are and give you options to achieve what you would like from your filler. During the treatment, we will take before and after photos to show the treatment progress. Then Dr. Becker will have you lay back and he will begin injecting the area with the Voluma. Volume's formula contains lidocaine, so after the first injection it will have fairly little pain. As he injects, he will mold the filler into a natural shape. This avoids any artificial appearance, and gives you a very natural look. This is also why it takes a very skilled hand to properly use dermal fillers, as it takes true artistry to create a natural youthfulness with filler.
After your treatment you may have some swelling and occasionally some bruising. If you do get bruised, we invite you to return so we can remove the bruise with our Vbeam laser. Side effects should go away within two weeks, at which time we like to have a follow up appointment to make sure you are happy with your results.
