When your body’s natural fat is pressured by the connective tissue beneath it, rough dimpling may appear on the surface of the skin. Since it can occur with any lifestyle, cellulite is one of the most common cosmetic problems our patients discuss with us. Fortunately, Rinnova Skin and Body has recently added Cellfina to its services.
Rinnova Skin & Body is one of the first providers in the country to offer Cellfina. A revolutionary treatment, Cellfina is the first ever cellulite solution to be FDA-cleared to last for at least 3 years. We chose to carry Cellfina because it has a patient satisfaction rate of 95%.
Cellfina works by treating the structural cause of cellulite. There are connective bands throughout fatty areas that pull down on the skin. Dr. Todd Becker and Dr. Ida Rastegar use the Cellfina system to release these bands, smoothing the skin. You can see results as early as three days improving over the next few months.

What Causes Cellulite?
Cellulite occurs in almost 90% of women. It can be effected by hormones, genetics, and diet, but why cellulite occurs is debatable. However, the cause of cellulite is known: cellulite is caused by fibrous bands that connect the skin to the underlying tissue, causing a dimple at the connection.
Cellfina is the first treatment that targets the structural cause of cellulite. During the procedure, the doctor carefully releases the fibrous bands that cause the dimpling. This way, there is no regrowth of the band and the cellulite is treated at the root cause. As such, this procedure might be permanent, and is a one time treatment.
What to Expect
During your complimentary consultation, one of our doctors and our medical aestheticians will give you an idea of your specific needs and if you are a good candidate for Cellfina. Most patients with any degree of cellulite can benefit from Cellfina.
During the procedure, the doctor will use a vacuum to pull up the area and inject it with a local anesthetic. After the area is numb, the doctor will then use the same vacuum to insert small needles under the skin, releasing the cellulite-causing bands. Immediately following you will experience some soreness and bruising. While the bruising usually takes about a month to go away, the soreness eases after a few days. You will be able to return to your normal routine as you feel comfortable, meaning there is minimal downtime.
